pinwheels #2

Over at Bubble and Sweet Linda is feeling patriotic with their pinwheels
They have used fondant decorated like an American flag

OK how do you feel about fondant, people? It makes cool and detailed decorating of cakes and cookies possible but the taste is yuck isn't it? or did I just have a bad fondant maker?

For those of us not versed in any fondant skills she says use edible food writers which I think would be great for kids to make a foody pinwheel with. Hmm wonder if you could do that at a birthday party?

I have to love her bucket with paper stars and striped straws/sticks. I do admire someone who can bring the whole look together.
